President Joe Biden made a public warning to Iran "to be careful" following the Iran-backed terrorist group Hamas's attack on Israel over the weekend.

"We've made it clear to the Iranians: 'Be careful,'" Biden said on Wednesday at a roundtable of Jewish community leaders at the White House.

His comments came after listing the U.S. resources being sent to Israel, including a new arms shipment, ammunition for the Israel Defense Forces, and the deployment of military ships and aircraft.

He added, "We want to make it real clear. We're working on every aspect of the hostage crisis in Israel, including deploying experts to advise and assist with recovery efforts."

The president would not get into details about efforts to help rescue the hostages and called it "bizarre" if he did.

Biden said he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu again Wednesday morning, and he said during the call with the leader that Israel must “operate by the rules of war.”

Victoria Coates, former deputy national security adviser to President Donald Trump, ripped Biden's warning to Iran to "be careful."

"In other words, Tehran’s actions to date have been within bounds? And when was he talking to the Iranians?" she said on social media.
