Support for President Joe Biden's main primary foes hit double digits in a recent poll.

Although Biden holds a commanding lead with the support of 65% of respondents, bestselling self-help author Marianne Williamson nabbed 11% and environmental lawyer Robert Kennedy, Jr. clinched 11%, with another 11% unsure, according to a Change Research poll.

WHO'S IN, WHO'S OUT, AND WHO'S STILL WAITING TO ANNOUNCE FOR SENATE IN 2024

Biden has long held a considerable lead over his primary rivals, averaging a 45 percentage point edge over them in the latest RealClearPolitics polling aggregate. Both Williamson and Kennedy have cried foul over the lack of primary debates as they seek ways to gain traction.

Boding well for Biden in the Change Research poll is the fact that he also bests his leading GOP foes, former President Donald Trump, 47% to 43%, and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), 47% to 44%, in hypothetical matchups. Biden's approval rating stands at 42% favorable to 56% who disapprove.

Respondents were also evenly split at 19% about whether Trump or DeSantis poses the greatest challenge to Biden in a general election, with 27% saying "both have an equal chance."

Biden launched his reelection campaign last month. Heavyweight Democrats such as Govs. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) have steered clear of challenging him.

Should he win, Biden will be 82 at the start of a second term and 86 by its conclusion. Already he is the oldest president in U.S. history at age 80.

The poll surveyed 1,208 people from April 28 to May 2 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
