President Joe Biden will start August vacationing in Delaware, but senior White House officials plan to use the summer recess to continue the president's nationwide "Bidenomics" tour.
Though inflation remains elevated, senior administration officials are cautiously optimistic that post-pandemic price hikes are finally easing, with the White House in recent months emphasizing his economic agenda as the 2024 election cycle kicks into full gear.

Democrats are staking their reelection prospects on the bills, some of which are bipartisan, that became law in the last Congress, including drug pricing reforms and legislation providing veteran healthcare.
"This week kicks off a travel blitz by Cabinet officials and senior White House officials throughout August recess, coinciding with the anniversaries of the Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS and Science Act, and PACT Act," a senior administration official said in a statement. "The travel sprint comes alongside strong economic indicators in recent weeks — including Q2 GDP growth far outpacing expectations and showing that construction manufacturing investments contributed its largest share to GDP growth in 40 years, and consumer confidence reaching a two year high."
Biden's Cabinet will hit the road starting Monday, when 10 officials, including Vice President Kamala Harris, will blanket nine states and Puerto Rico to "underscore how Republican Members of Congress are threatening to put the growth and progress we’ve made at risk with their attempts to repeal critical provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act," according to the White House.

The president himself also plans to travel to Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah following the conclusion of his Delaware vacation next week. The administration frequently praises Arizona as a case study for incentivizing tech manufacturing investments using funding allocated through Biden's spending bills, including the Inflation Reduction Act and CHIPS and Science Act.
"Under the Biden Administration, private companies have announced over $500 billion in manufacturing and clean energy investments in the United States — with a significant increase in investments in the year since CHIPS and the Inflation Reduction Act were signed into law. And, in the 20 months since President Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Administration has announced over $280 billion in infrastructure funding across the country," senior administration officials said Monday.
