President Joe Biden showcased his Inflation Reduction Act on Wednesday and called out Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for voting against the bill that provided multiple energy initiatives.
Biden gave a speech in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as part of a tour of the Southwest to boost his economic plan and highlight the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, which led to hundreds of new jobs for wind manufacturers, including Boebert’s Colorado district.

"Like in Colorado, where CS Wind broke ground on what will be the world's largest wind tower manufacturing plant. And coincidentally, CS Wind is Congresswoman Lauren Boebert—you know, the very quiet Republican lady—it's in her district," Biden said, teasing the House Freedom Caucus member.

Every single Republican in Congress voted against the Inflation Reduction Act, the policy investing billions of dollars in renewable energy. Biden mocked other GOP members who are now touting projects in their state that stemmed from the Inflation Reduction Act.
“Who, along with every other Republican, voted against this bill, and it's making all this possible. And she railed against its passage,” Biden said. “But that's OK. She's welcoming it now."
CS Wind, the world's largest manufacturing plant for wind turbine towers, will become one of the largest employers in Pueblo, Colorado, which was prompted by the Inflation Reduction Act. The company plans to bring 850 new jobs by 2028.

Biden targeted other Republican lawmakers for voting against the policy that has given clean energy investments to their districts, including Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).
“I thought, wait a minute, didn't he rail against that for a long, long time? I was inclined to go down and help him celebrate, but I decided not to,” Biden remarked.
