President Joe Biden was at the forefront of the latest round of photos with world leaders at the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, following a mishap that caused him to miss yesterday’s photo.
Footage of Biden making his way to the stage with the other global leaders was shared online. He stood between Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Monday, Biden was absent from the G20 summit “family photo, along with Trudeau and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

A senior U.S. official said Monday’s mix-up was due to “logistical” challenges, which resulted in the group photo being taken early rather than waiting for everyone to show up.
The footage of Biden missing the first round of photos caused some shouts from the press, with several people questioning where the president was.

While Biden did not make it to Monday’s photo shoot, he did take a photo with Trudeau and Meloni, which he shared on his presidential X account. He wrote that it was “great” to meet with them.

Biden missing the first G20 summit photo shoot is the second time he has gone viral during his visit to Brazil, as footage of him disappearing into the Amazon Rainforest on Sunday was also shared on X. Many social media users joked that Biden got lost in the forest.
