


President Joe Biden was quick to seize on the technical difficulties of Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) campaign launch on Twitter Spaces with Elon Musk. He pounced on the opportunity in a fundraising effort for The Biden-Harris campaign.
Biden tweeted minutes after the campaign announcement was expected to go live. "This link works," he wrote, directing users to a Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris reelection fund. DeSantis's audio-only event appeared to be going in and out of service before the discussion was moved to a new Twitter Space.

Biden started his 2024 campaign with over $2.2 million in cash on hand from his campaign and joint fundraising committee, Biden Victory Fund, according to OpenSecrets.

After his Federal Election Commission filing on Wednesday, DeSantis launched his 2024 Republican presidential campaign on Twitter. The event experienced numerous technical difficulties.
Expected to launch at 6 p.m., the event had over 300,000 users listening in the first hour.
