President Joe Biden's reelection campaign chided former President Donald Trump on Tuesday over statements the 2024 GOP front-runner posted on Truth Social on Monday.
The Biden campaign criticized Trump over a post the former president published on his social media platform on Christmas Day in which he reiterated his pledge to "come up with a much better, and less expensive, alternative" to Obamacare.

In a press release on Monday, Biden's campaign rebuked Trump for using the holiday "to wish his political enemies 'rot in hell'" and to call for the repealing of Obamacare. The campaign also said Trump's policies, or "stocking stuffers," would raise prescription drug costs and strike down coverage for children and people with preexisting conditions.
"It's Christmas 2023 and Donald Trump is still promising to do everything he can to take away Americans' health care. If Donald Trump has his way, 40 million Americans would have their health care coverage endangered, protections for 100 million Americans with preexisting conditions would be at risk, and more than 2 million young people would be kicked off their parents' plans," Biden campaign spokesman Seth Schuster said in a statement.

"His erratic Christmas Day rant is just another flashing-red danger sign of what's to come if he returns to power — and comes at the cost of Americans' hard-earned health care," Schuster continued.
Trump's vow to replace Obamacare came in between a series of posts in which the former president issued attacks against Biden and special counsel Jack Smith, whom he accused of "coming after him." He also claimed that "thugs" in the Democratic Party "are looking to destroy our once great USA" and told them to "rot in hell" before signing off with a final "Merry Christmas!"
