Palm Sunday is the first day of Holy Week in Christianity, the last week of Lent, and commemorates Jesus Christ's entering the city of Jerusalem. The holiday's name comes from the palm branches people waved and laid in his path to greet him.
President Joe Biden and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the two most prominent Catholic politicians in America, failed to acknowledge the religious day.
NANCY PELOSI SHOULD BE EXCOMMUNICATED FROM THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
But both Biden and Pelosi, who routinely tout their Catholic faith when it is convenient for them, enthusiastically recognized something called "Trans Day of Visibility" on Twitter.
The omission of the holy day and the conspicuous observance of piety toward transgenderism come less than a week after a radicalized transgender shooter killed six people at a Christian school, including three 9-year-old students.
On #TransDayOfVisibility, it is with pride I join in declaring: we see you, we’re with you – and we won’t rest until you enjoy the love & safety you deserve.

As extremists target trans people with hateful laws, let us work for a future free of fear, violence and discrimination.
"On #TransDayOfVisibility, it is with pride I join in declaring: we see you, we're with you — and we won't rest until you enjoy the love & safety you deserve," the former speaker of the House tweeted. "As extremists target trans people with hateful laws, let us work for a future free of fear, violence and discrimination."
Transgender people are some of the bravest Americans I know. But no person should have to be brave just to live in safety and dignity.

Today, on Transgender Day of Visibility, I renew my commitment to building a healthy, safe, free, and just future for trans people everywhere. https://t.co/sR5pHvkSHU
"Transgender people are some of the bravest Americans I know. But no person should have to be brave just to live in safety and dignity," Biden tweeted. "Today, on Transgender Day of Visibility, I renew my commitment to building a healthy, safe, free, and just future for trans people everywhere."
It's hard to believe that Biden or Pelosi genuinely care about their Catholic faith. This is especially true when they don't recognize Palm Sunday but enthusiastically tweet about a fake day that celebrates people suffering from a mental health crisis — and do so after one such person targeted Christians last week for murder.
Biden and Pelosi are disingenuous about their Catholicism. Both epitomize a biblical passage that discusses impostors. St. Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 3:12-14, "Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived."
Biden and Pelosi seem determined to subvert the core tenets of the religion to which they claim to belong. They are charlatans who use their faith to appear wholesome to religious voters while rejecting everything they profess to believe and support.
