President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are both not faring well with this year's NCAA men's basketball tournament.
Biden's bracket for March Madness was completely busted after day one of the tournament, while Harris was in attendance to see her alma mater lose in the first round.
MARCH MADNESS 2023: PREVIEWING MEN'S COLLEGE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The president released his picks for both the men's and the women's college basketball tournaments on Thursday, continuing a presidential trend popularized by his former boss Barack Obama. Biden chose the University of Arizona to win the tournament, but the two-seed Wildcats lost to fifteen-seed Princeton, 59-55.
Good luck to every team in this year's NCAA tournament.

I’ve got Arizona in the men’s tournament and Villanova in the women’s – and as you know, in this household, Villanova always wins. pic.twitter.com/iILzABTCuo
Three of the four teams in Biden's projected Final Four, Kansas, Marquette, and Texas, are still alive in the tournament. Other incorrect picks on Biden's bracket included the University of Virginia beating Furman and the College of Charleston beating San Diego State. Four-seed UVA lost to 13-seed Furman, 68-67, and five-seed SDSU beat Charleston, 63-57.
For the women's tournament, which begins Friday, Biden chose Villanova University to win the championship. Biden's wife, Jill, has a Master of Arts from Villanova.
Harris was in attendance in Des Moines, Iowa, to see her alma mater Howard University lose to the University of Kansas, 92-68. Kansas, a one-seed, was heavily favored over Howard, a 16-seed, which was making its first appearance in the "big dance" since 1992.
Harris delivered a post-game speech to the Howard basketball team in the locker room.

"You put everything you had into the game, and you know that's what it's about, right? Until the last minute, you guys did that. You didn't stop until the last second. You did not stop. And that is so inspiring. So you keep playing with chin up and shoulders back because you showed the world who Bison are. I mean, literally, what you have done is in historic proportion. I was at Howard back in the day, where we were just happy that there was a game, much less getting to this place, right?" Harris said.
"And I see Bison literally all over the world, and we've been talking about you, this team. ... You make us so proud. So, I know you may not be feeling great right now, but know who you are. You are excellence. You are hard work. You are powerful, and you are winners. So, please know that," she continued.

She ended the speech by saying that if they ever feel like "playing hooky at 5 in the afternoon" she will give them a White House tour.
The first round of the men's NCAA basketball tournament continues Friday, with second round games being played on Saturday and Sunday.
