A bearded man is going viral after taking first place in a women's poker tournament Saturday in Florida.

Deltona, Florida, native David Hughes entered the $250 buy-in "Ladies No-limit Hold’em" event at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and won, according to a report.

The event, which had 83 entries, was part of the casino's "Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown," and Hughes walked away with $5,555 in winnings, the report noted.

Hughes is described as a "70-year-old bearded man," and he was allowed to compete under anti-discrimination rules, which state Florida casinos must allow men to enter women's events.

When he made it to the final table, Hughes's presence appeared to rattle some of the ladies.

"Playing the @WT ladies event today, and Dave here is the only man. (Filmed w/permission!)," professional poker player Ebony Kenney tweeted.

"While we appreciate the dead money, I really wish men would get what these events stand for. So I put a $300 bounty on his head and Tamra & Noah Piderit matched it. Let's get him."

Despite reaching more than $2,000, the bounty went unclaimed, according to the report.

British player and enthusiast Charlie Carrel noted it was "hilarious" that Hughes won, but he also said it speaks volumes to a larger issue.

"It's a real issue that people are taking advantage of in many different areas, including sports, prisons, and changing areas. This has lead to some horrific repercussions (female inmates being raped in prison, or women getting destroyed in MMA fights by somebody who spent 95% of their life as a man)," Carrel tweeted.

"It does suck that it comes at the expense of the women's only space. I wouldn't do it, even though I probably share the same criticisms. Female only spaces in poker are really needed. Mixed poker can often be absolutely horrendous environments for women to be a part of."

Hughes is not the first man to conquer a women's tournament, the report noted.

In 2009, former World Series of Poker Champion Abraham Korotki won a $300 buy-in event in Atlantic City.
