Barron Trump’s attendance at President Donald Trump‘s historic inauguration, in which he became the second president to be inaugurated to a second nonconsecutive term, was arguably the most talked about on social media.

Barron Trump, the president’s youngest son and the only child he has with his current wife, first lady Melania Trump, joined the rest of his family to watch his father’s swearing-in as the 47th president of the United States. Barron Trump was near the presidential podium, prompting some online to joke that he is a future president.

“Barron Trump towers over inauguration crowd. Ingersoll Lockwood would be so proud,” Alex Jones, Infowars owner, wrote on X, jokingly referring to a pair of children’s novels featuring a protagonist named Baron Trump.

Barron Trump was also spotted reaching out to shake the hands of former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris at the ceremony, a move many praised for showing courtesy to the outgoing administration.

Another moment caught on camera at the ceremony was Barron Trump waving hello to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who was standing nearby. The president’s youngest son also appeared to shake the hands of X owner Elon Musk, who became a vocal ally of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
