Steve Bannon revealed on Saturday that he’s heard from sources close to the Trump White House that “the party is on,” suggesting President Donald Trump may be leaning toward bombing Iranian nuclear sites.

“I’m just reporting what I’m hearing from pretty good sources. The party is on,” Bannon said on his War Room podcast. “So another big weekend in this unfolding aspect of the Third World War.”

Bannon, the former Trump aide turned podcaster, reportedly met with Trump on Thursday for a private lunch in an attempt to dissuade the president from getting involved in the conflict between Israel and Iran.

In an interview published by Politico Friday morning, Bannon said he was very confident the president would “look at other alternatives” before engaging in any military action on Iran.

“This is a guy, before he turns to violence in terms of military kinetic action, he looks at every other alternative you can do,” Bannon said. “I think it just once again reinforces the reason that the MAGA movement loves him.”

Bannon also said in that interview that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “needs to finish what [Israel] started,” instead of relying on U.S. military intervention.

Trump’s weighty decision to throw American support behind Israel’s efforts against Iran has caused steep divisions within the MAGA coalition of the Republican Party.

A vocal section of the MAGA movement has always been staunchly opposed to foreign wars, following the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in the early 2000s. Certain MAGA voices have also been less supportive of the Israeli government.

Right-wing personality and head of the advocacy group Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk said Friday that a decision to bomb Iran would “cause a massive schism in MAGA.”

On Saturday, multiple media outlets reported that six B-2 stealth bombers from an Air Force base in Missouri appeared to be flying west toward the Pacific Saturday morning, likely headed to a U.S. military installation in the territory of Guam.

The B-2 planes have the capacity to carry two 15-ton massive bombs, the kind of weaponry that experts say would be necessary should the U.S. join Israel in attacking the Fordow nuclear site in Iran.

The Department of Defense did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment on the destination of the B-2 planes.

Trump was slated to return to the White House from a trip to New Jersey on Saturday evening and receive briefings from the National Security Council throughout the weekend regarding the Israel-Iran conflict.

Bannon emphasized on Saturday that the “Third World War” is already here.

“Anyone that’s telling you that the Third World War is not here, is absolutely, does not understand the development and evolution of kinetic energy,” Bannon said.
