NextImg:At least 62 dead after plane crashes in South Korea - Washington Examiner

At least 62 people are dead and two were rescued after a plane crashed at South Korea‘s Muan International Airport Sunday night.

Footage of the crash shows the plane sliding across the runway uncontrollably before hitting a wall and becoming engulfed in flames. The plane, Jeju Air flight 7C2216, was carrying 175 passengers and six crew members, and was flying from Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

Acting South Korean President Choi Sang-mok has told emergency responders to use “all available” resources to respond to the crash.

Jeju Air is a South Korean low-cost airline, and the plane in the crash was a Boeing 737-800 jet.
