Apple is working to address a problem raised by users on social media, in which saying the word “racist” while using the iPhone’s voice-to-text tool briefly shows “Trump.”

Users online shared footage of themselves using the voice-to-text feature to write out words. Several staff members at the Washington Examiner were also able to replicate the problem using the tool on their own iPhones.

“We are aware of an issue with the speech recognition model that powers Dictation, and we are rolling out a fix as soon as possible,” an Apple spokesperson told Fox News.

The technology giant also stated that the speech recognition models used by its voice-to-text tool could briefly show other words besides the one intended by the speaker. Apple specifically cited words with an “r” consonant when describing this problem.

APPLE SHAREHOLDERS REJECT OVERHAULING DEI PROGRAM’S ‘ILLEGAL DISCRIMINATION’

On Monday, Apple announced it would invest $500 billion in the United States over the next four years, focusing on infrastructure, factories, and other facilities. The company also said it would hire around 20,000 people, mostly in research and development, silicon engineering, software development, and artificial intelligence.

The company’s announcement comes shortly after CEO Tim Cook met with President Donald Trump earlier this month. The president issued a congratulatory statement to Apple and Cook on Truth Social.
