The Live Action anti-abortion group is set to protest at nearly 200 Planned Parenthood locations across the United States on Saturday for “Defund Day.”
One of the demonstrations will be at a Planned Parenthood facility located at 1225 4th St. NE in Washington, and organizers are expecting thousands of people to protest across the country.

The organization is hoping President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” will remove taxpayer funding for abortion efforts, changes that will likely be opposed by congressional Democrats and some Republicans. Any significant changes to abortion rights are unlikely.
“Congress and President Trump must immediately act to defund Planned Parenthood,” Live Action founder and President Lila Rose said in a statement shared with the Washington Examiner. “These peaceful demonstrations in front of their killing facilities across the country will showcase taxpayers’ desires to end federal funding.”
Rose spoke at a protest in Anaheim, California, with supporters holding pink signs that said, “Planned Parenthood kills babies, transitions minors.”
She told the Daily Wire that the nationwide protests were the first time they mobilized such an effort on that scale.
“While Live Action has led many demonstrations outside Planned Parenthood’s killing centers, this is the first time we have mobilized a nationwide response on this scale,” Rose told the outlet. “Because of the urgency of the vote and the stakes for innocent lives, we knew we had to activate every pro-life and pro-family American.”

The reconciliation bill will more likely include other things that anti-abortion activists will be pleased with, such as added child tax credits. The House Ways and Means Committee touted such changes that would be relevant to child-friendly activists in May, also including policies boosting health savings accounts.
“Thank you Chairman @RepJasonSmith and @WaysandMeansGOP for working creatively to support moms, babies, and families in the areas where they need it the most,” the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America organization said in a statement.
