The View co-host Ana Navarro said that she tries to lean out of her car "like a dog" and yell, "We say gay!" whenever she is near Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and his supporters.

Navarro's comments were spurred by co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin sharing a story on Monday about her experience watching the 2024 presidential candidates campaigning in New Hampshire.

Griffin mentioned that she witnessed DeSantis get heckled with a "we say gay" chant.

Navarro chimed in, "It wasn't me in New Hampshire screaming, 'We say gay!'"

She added, "Though I wish I would have. I try to do it any time I’m anywhere near Ron DeSantis or any of his people."

"I just, like, I go around like a dog in Florida with my head outside of my car: 'We say gay! We say gay! We say gay!,'" Navarro said.

The View crowd cheered and applauded Navarro.

Navarro has been a frequent critic of Florida's Parental Rights in Education Act, which is frequently referred to in a derogatory manner by activists as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

DeSantis signed the legislation in March 2022, and it received backlash for prohibiting sexual orientation and gender identity discussions in kindergarten through third grade classrooms.
