Every member of Alabama's Republican House delegation endorsed former President Donald Trump's presidential campaign on Friday, adding more notches to Trump's lead over his 2024 rivals in the GOP primary.

The endorsements come on the same day Trump is set to address the Alabama Republican Party’s Summer Dinner in Montgomery and one day after he was arraigned in federal court in Washington D.C. over his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. This marks Trump's third indictment since leaving the White House, and he faces the possibility of another indictment from a Georgia investigation into his actions following the 2020 cycle.

Reps. Robert Aderholt, Mike Rogers, Gary Palmer, Jerry Carl, Barry Moore, and Dale Strong said they were "proud" to support Trump's reelection bid. The former president also has the support of Alabama's senior Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R), Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth (R), Agriculture Commissioner Rick Pate, and the entire State Public Service Commission.

“After eight years of Obama-Biden socialist policies, in his first term, President Trump’s America First agenda put our nation on a more secure and prosperous path, proving that the Trump policies are the right policies for the American people," the Alabama House GOP delegation said in a statement. "In a second term, President Trump will secure our borders, rebuild our economy, strengthen our national defense, ensure equal justice under law for all Americans — not just political allies — protect our children, including the unborn innocent among us, and restore America’s respect in the world. We look forward to working with President Trump to Make America Great Again.”

“He’s the leader America needs in 2024. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States!” added Tuberville, who has gained attention over his blockade of military promotions due to the Pentagon's abortion policy.

Former Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Strategy and Communications Cliff Sims also endorsed Trump and claimed that "President Trump’s America First approach to foreign policy, trade, manufacturing, and China are the surest path to ensuring peace and security for American families."

"That’s why I’m proud to endorse him again for 2024,” he added.

Two key notable Alabama officials, Gov. Kay Ivey (R) and Sen. Katie Britt (R), have not yet endorsed in the GOP primary. Trump still has the most congressional endorsements among all Republican presidential candidates, with more than 80 backers, while his closest competitor, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), has five endorsements.
