Rock legend Alice Cooper has been dropped by his cosmetics sponsor after ripping transgender identity as a "fad."

Vampyre Cosmetics, an LGBT-owned company, terminated its collaboration with the "Poison" singer weeks after it was launched following Cooper's assertion that those pushing the transgender ideology and agenda are confusing children by telling them they can be anything they want.

"I'm understanding that there are cases of transgender, but I'm afraid that it's also a fad, and I'm afraid there's a lot of people claiming to be this just because they want to be that," he said.

"I find it wrong when you've got a 6-year-old kid who has no idea. He just wants to play, and you're confusing him, telling him, 'Yeah, you're a boy, but you could be a girl if you want to be.'"

Vampyre Cosmetics promotes itself as a women-owned, disabled-owned, and LGBT-owned business, and Cooper's comments were not well received by the brand.

"In light of recent statements by Alice Cooper, we will no longer be doing a makeup collaboration," Vampyre Cosmetics said in a statement.

"We stand with all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and believe everyone should have access to healthcare."

The Alice Cooper Makeup Collection was intended to celebrate "the distinctive look of Alice Cooper," according to Vampyre Cosmetics.

"This collection will exude Alice's style and feature guitar and amp shaped makeup palettes, microphone styled lipsticks and a major highlight for Alice Cooper and makeup fans to look forward to is a new version of Alice Cooper's iconic Whiplash mascara," the company said. "A unisex product originally created to 'Liberate Your Eyes.'"

All pre-order sales of the collection will be refunded, Vampyre Cosmetics said.
