Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is one of Congress’s most deceitful and dishonest members.
He built this reputation when he was in the House of Representatives with the sham witch hunt impeachment trials. This included being exposed for falsifying details about a phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, mischaracterizing text messages, and claiming he had significant damning evidence of Trump’s Russian collusion — but never would produce it. It’s been over six years since he led that impeachment scam, and he still hasn’t produced his big trove of evidence.

Schiff has proven to be perfidious. Now he’s shown he’s unpatriotic, expressing disdain for the parade honoring the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary. It’s hard to imagine why anyone, let alone a U.S. senator, would be against such a celebration. Yet, that is the Democratic Party in 2025.
During a recent interview on the “Lovett or Leave It” podcast, Schiff whined about having a parade honoring the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, claiming that such a parade would “destroy the roads.” He also criticized Trump.
“Trump wanted to do this in his first administration, and the mayor of D.C. at the time, because, among other things, this would destroy the roads to have these tanks going down the streets in Washington, D.C.,” said Schiff.
Schiff then bemoaned that Trump would use his presidential authority to influence decisions, calling the parade “horrifying.” A U.S. senator is horrified at the idea of a parade honoring the 250th anniversary of the Army. It epitomizes how radical today’s Democratic Party has become.
“Famously said, or tweeted, ‘tanks, but no tanks,’ but now there’s no protest to it because the District of Columbia has to worry about the president of the United States essentially trashing the district – withholding any kind of funding or using other federal means to disenfranchise further the people of the District of Columbia,” Schiff said. “And it just shows how much danger there is from this now unrestrained executive.”
Of course, “Shifty” Schiff, the nickname Trump bestowed upon him, had zero problems when Democrats such as former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden threatened to withhold funding for political reasons. Yet, when Trump does something similar, Schiff clutches his pearls and claims it is an abuse of power. It’s just one of a hundred examples of why he is so devious and untrustworthy.
Furthermore, his objection to a parade honoring the U.S. Army over a worry about D.C.’s streets being destroyed is laughable, considering he expressed no such concern when Black Lives Matter trashed the city’s streets during the 2020 riots or when other various left-wing activist organizations caused significant damage to the nation’s capital. Like most things from Schiff’s mouth, his concerns over possible damage to streets are disingenuous and performative.
Moreover, plenty of countries worldwide host military parades, and all seem to do so without demolishing their streets. Assuming there are legitimate concerns about street damage, how could those countries pull such parades off without damage, but the U.S. would not be able to do so? If so, that should raise significant questions and red flags.
ADAM SCHIFF ‘HORRIFIED’ BY TRUMP’S ‘MILITARY VANITY’ PARADE
But Schiff cannot be trusted, so there’s little incentive to believe anything he says. I suspect the impetus for his whining about the parade is that it is Trump’s brainchild.
The U.S. Army is worthy of a grand celebration for its 250th anniversary. Such a celebration should transcend political rivalries and be supported by all politicians, regardless of party or ideological allegiances. However, the senator from California’s pettiness knows no bounds, especially regarding the president. His disdain for a semiquincentennial celebration for the U.S. Army exemplifies how radical and rogue Schiff is.
