NextImg:A war is going down, and so is trust in media

Media trust isn’t quite in the toilet. It would be more accurate to say it is underground, like in a sewer, or perhaps in a Hamas terrorist tunnel.

As liberal media carries water for Hamas terrorists, media trust has hit yet another record low. Just 32% of people “have a great deal or a fair amount of trust in mass media,” tied for the lowest since 2016. Moreover, a record-high 39% say they don’t trust mass media (read: liberal “mainstream” corporate media) at all.

Liberal media hasn’t covered itself in glory since Hamas terrorists slaughtered 1,400 civilians in Israel. The Associated Press led the big brand names in parroting Hamas lies that Israel bombed a hospital and killed 500 Palestinians, when in reality it was a Palestinian missile that hit the parking lot of the hospital and killed far fewer.

Undeterred by this small hiccup, these outlets went back to quoting Hamas for Palestinian casualty numbers knowing that Hamas gleefully lies to the world. The Associated Press characterized an antisemitic lynch mob in Russia as a “protest,” while the New York Times said it was “unclear” if the Jews in hostage videos were being forced to make those videos by the Hamas terrorists who took them hostage.

And to top it all off, the New York Times hired a Palestinian who literally supports and praises Adolf Hitler to cover the war between Israel and Hamas. That 32% trust number may look low, but it may actually still be far too high.

If you think an antisemitic terrorist attack launching a war has driven media trust to the lowest it can go, though, you would be highly mistaken. That 32% number leaves a lot of room for decline, and the 2024 presidential election cycle will be on us before you know it.
