NextImg:A Democratic congresswoman just trademarked a homophobic slur - Washington Examiner

If Democrats didn’t have double standards, it can be legitimately argued, they would have no standards at all. This seems especially true after a Democratic congresswoman filed an application to trademark a supposedly discriminatory slur against lesbians.

At any other time in recent history, what Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) said during her heated exchange with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) would have caused outrage, especially within the LGBT community. Calling a female “butch” and then having the audacity to file a trademark application using the term would have resulted in protests and demands to resign by the fanatical left-wing political activists plaguing this nation.

Yet when one of their own made a homophobic slur and took action to profit off of it, the collective community of radical left-wing activists was silent. They said nothing. They did nothing. Apparently, so-called homophobia isn’t as traumatic as the Left has claimed it was for decades.

Who would have ever guessed the Left’s claims of oppression were completely bogus and nothing more than performative politics?

After a condescending comment from Crockett to Greene about a statement she made about Judge Juan Merchan, Greene fired back an insult about Crockett’s fake eyelashes. Later in the hearing, Crockett attacked Greene, saying she had a “bleach blonde, bad-built, butch body.” Earlier this week, Crockett filed the phrase “bleach blonde bad built butch body” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Washington Examiner reported.

It was a not-so-startling revelation of the immaturity of the congresswoman from Texas but also a sign of her bigotry toward homosexual women. After all, the term “butch” is a societal “no-no” and offensive — at least that is what Democrats have been saying for the last two decades. There is even a term called “butchphobia” to address the stigma that comes with the use of the word.

That is, unless you are a female Democratic politician arguing with an outspoken Republican in Congress. Then, it is apparently acceptable to use all the slurs and insults.

Some have claimed use of the term “butch” is acceptable within the LGBT community (if one believes in such radical norms, rules, standards, and the fictitious use of language that the community created). However, it is most certainly not considered acceptable or nondiscriminatory when used as Crockett did last week. Just like that, the perpetually aggrieved LGBT community has no problems with slurs or discriminatory comments such as “butch.”

Had it been a Republican politician who used the term “butch,” let alone filed an application to trademark it, all hell would have broken loose. But because Crockett is a Democrat, her discrimination gets glossed over and ignored as if “butch” has not been readily identified as a hostile and offensive term to homosexual women for years.

Crockett’s rhetoric, actions, and despicable behavior are just the latest example of the true colors of Democrats. They don’t care about people. They have no genuine interest in marginalized groups. All they care about is weaponizing the whining and claims of discrimination by these so-called victimized and oppressed groups to amass political influence and power. Furthermore, if these groups truly felt the levels of oppression they claim they do, all of them would have taken issue with what Crockett said and demanded she apologize or resign.

They did neither. And that tells everyone all they need to know about Democrats and others on the Left. They are manipulative, performative agitators.

Nothing more. Nothing less.
