President Joe Biden is heading to Wisconsin on Wednesday to speak about his economic plan that he highlighted during his State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Biden received various responses for his economic proposals during his address, and some GOP lawmakers criticized him for his views on raising the debt ceiling. He received muted support from Republicans after he called for an increase in workers’ wages, time off, and other benefits in employment.

"My economic plan is about investing in places and people that have been forgotten," Biden said Tuesday. "Amid the economic upheaval of the past four decades, too many people have been left behind or treated like they’re invisible."

Biden will speak at 2 p.m in DeForest, Wisconsin, at the Laborers' International Union of North America training center to talk about manufacturing industry jobs.

"Jobs are coming back," Biden said Tuesday night, touting a report that his administration created over 500,000 jobs in January. "Pride is coming back because of the choices we made in the last two years. This is a blue-collar blueprint to rebuild America and make a real difference in your lives."

His stop in Wisconsin, a battleground state, comes ahead of his likely reelection campaign announcement in March or April, according to the Wall Street Journal. During his State of the Union address, Biden presented a "unity agenda" and called on Congress to work together in a bipartisan fashion as it has in the past, speaking in front of the GOP House majority for the first time.
