President Joe Biden will deliver remarks about the unidentified flying objects and China's spy balloons from the White House on Thursday after the U.S. military shot down several objects in North American airspace this past week.

The subject of the unidentified objects and spy balloons has captivated the public and lawmakers after a Chinese spy balloon was discovered over Montana earlier this month. The Pentagon has since shot the white balloon down over the Atlantic.

WHITE HOUSE SAYS NO INDICATION THREE OBJECTS SHOT DOWN WERE CHINESE SURVEILLANCE

Officials claim the other three objects do not resemble the surveillance balloon. Those were shot down on Feb. 10 over Alaska, Saturday over the Yukon in Canada, and on Sunday over Michigan.

Members of Congress have received closed-door briefings on the situation this week, but they have remained confused over how serious the incidents are. Military officials have claimed that spy balloons were discovered over U.S. airspace three times in former President Donald Trump's administration, but Trump officials have denied knowledge of the balloons.

"Following the briefing, it is unclear as to whether these incidents are a series of extremely significant events being downplayed by the White House, or inconsequential incidents being exaggerated and blown out of proportion," Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said in a series of tweets Tuesday afternoon.

The remarks come ahead of Biden's trip to Poland next week, where he is expected to talk about China while marking the one-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine.
