


Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James went nuclear Saturday after a critical no-call led to the Lakers falling to the Boston Celtics in overtime.
With mere seconds left in the fourth quarter, James drove to the basket and went for what would have been a game-winning layup when Celtics star Jayson Tatum appeared to foul James and prevented the score.

The four-time NBA champion threw his hands above his head, grabbed his arm where he felt Tatum fouled him, and fell to the floor, according to footage of the incident posted to social media.
The Lakers fell to the Celtics 125-121 in overtime, and debate has been raging online over what many are calling a clear foul by Tatum.

The Twitter account for NBA referees released a statement Sunday addressing the incident.
"Like everyone else, referees make mistakes," the statement read. "We made one at the end of last night's game and that is gut-wrenching for us. This play will weigh heavily and cause sleepless nights as we strive to be the best referees we can be."
