Transgender ideology has utterly broken the liberal activists who have adopted its tenets — including the activists who call themselves journalists.

The Associated Press has adopted the absurd dramatics of transgender activists, claiming that Republican-run states are “erasing trans people” as part of a “sweeping effort to erase trans people’s legal existence, deny recognition to nonbinary or gender-fluid people and ignore those who are intersex.”

These evil Republican bills that will literally make transgender people disappear into thin air are full of heinous ideas. For example, they would prevent people from changing their driver’s license or birth certificates to any gender they want. They base “people’s legal gender identities on their anatomy at birth.”

Oh, the horror!

The Associated Press frames this as a concerted GOP strategy to keep voters energized rather than a forceful response to the absolute lunacy being pushed by transgender activists on the rest of the country to deny biology and reality. These steps are necessary to prevent men from taking spots on women’s sports teams, to prevent men from suing hospitals for not treating them as women, or to prevent men from flashing their genitalia at women in women’s locker rooms, just to give some examples.

It is also necessary to ensure that children are protected from being mutilated and permanently damaged by gender-reassignment treatments that transgender activists are trying to push on them.

The delusions go far beyond the scientifically illiterate assertion that men can become women and women can become men. The AP bemoans the lack of “recognition” for “nonbinary or gender-fluid people,” two completely fabricated categories that mean nothing. "Nonbinary" people claim to have no gender at all, which is a biological fiction. Gender-fluidity is the theory that someone can simply switch between being male or female interchangeably. It is utter nonsense, and yet it is a concern of establishment media all the same.

This is really all just a form of disinformation. The AP is taking sides in the culture war, and unfortunately, that means that its reporting on this topic cannot be trusted.

All of this is made worse because it actually distracts from helping people with gender dysphoria just live their lives. Transgender activists and the Associated Press want people to think that their life is meaningless if their driver’s license indicates their biological sex. The no-questions-asked style of “affirmation” asserts that the world must change to fit the self-definitions of gender for every person claiming to be transgender, “nonbinary,” or “gender-fluid.”

Meanwhile, the actual effects of gender dysphoria are shrugged to the side, even though the high suicide rate that accompanies the condition persists even after gender reassignment surgeries. The Associated Press is using the deep-seated mental issues that accompany gender dysphoria to launch political attacks on Republicans. They aren’t helping transgender people — they are exploiting them.

The frantic desperation in these attacks is building because Republicans are actually trying to protect institutions and individuals from radical gender ideology, and they are succeeding. Most people do not believe in changing our basic understanding of biology or making women feel unsafe in locker rooms, just to humor transgender activists. The AP and other media outlets do, though, because they have been utterly, irreparably broken by transgender activism.
