President Joe Biden revealed and repeated what could be a new campaign slogan during the State of the Union address, which was widely expected to double as a soft launch for his 2024 reelection.
During the course of the speech, Biden repeated the phrase "finish the job" 12 times, implying there's more to be done once his first term is done in early 2025.

"If you want America to have the best-educated workforce, let’s finish the job by providing access to preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds," he said at one point. "Let’s finish the job, connect students to career opportunities starting in high school and provide two years of community college, some of the best career training in America, in addition to being a pathway to a four-year degree."
Biden also repeated the phrase regarding extensions to the Affordable Care Act, climate change, the need for a "billionaire minimum tax," closing tax loopholes, cutting shipping costs, creating affordable housing, enacting police reform, and banning assault-style weapons.
The State of the Union address was expected to double as a kind of soft launch for Biden's campaign, following two Democratic National Committee fundraisers he attended in New York City and Philadelphia last week.
Though an official announcement like remains months away, reports hold that Biden is all but certain to seek a second term.

The still-recent midterm elections proved relatively successful for Biden and Democrats, who only gave up nine seats in the House and even gained one in the Senate. Attention has quickly refocused toward 2024, with Politico reporting that Biden has effectively decided he's going for reelection.
During Biden's Philadelphia speech last week, the room erupted into cheers of "four more years!"
An announcement could come in late March or early April.
