Asbury Student Body President Alison Perfater told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that people have come from Brazil, Indonesia, and almost every U.S. state.

“Here at Asbury Unversity, three mornings a week, we have chapel," Perfater said. “On Wednesday, Feb. 8, it didn’t end.”

“There’s a young army of believers who are rising to claim Christianity as their own, as a young generation and free generation. That’s why people can’t get enough,” Perfater added.

Asbury University Vice President of Communications Mark Whitworth told NBC News that the event has grown as word spread across social media.

“It has absolutely been social media that is the mechanism that people found out about this,” Whitworth said.

“I have experienced God this week in a way I haven’t before, but the radical change of others seems more significant. I feel like a bystander in the story that is unfolding and continues to unfold. I feel like a reporter. A witness to the testimonies of lives changed, tears shed, hugs shared, and utter joy and peace that is indescribable,” sophomore Eliza Crawford shared. “I am anticipating encountering more and to hear and see how he is moving and working in all our lives.”

On Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, videos with the hashtag “Asbury Revival” have received millions of views. At the time of publishing, videos using #asburyrevival on TikTok had been viewed 31.2 million times.
