One of the former Memphis, Tennessee, police officers charged with second-degree murder in the death of Tyre Nichols reportedly sent images of Nichols to five people.
Demetrius Haley admitted to texting the image to five people, according to documents obtained by the New York Times.

The document from the Memphis Police Department said Haley used his personal cellphone to share the image with two other officers, a civilian department employee, and a "female acquaintance," per the outlet. The report also stated that a sixth person received the image of Nichols.
The police department's policy prohibits officers from using their personal cellphones while conducting official duties on patrol.
Haley is one of five fired officers who are facing charges, including second-degree murder, for their role in a traffic stop involving Nichols. Video released by the police department showed the officers beating Nichols. Injuries sustained during the incident led to his death three days later.

Last week, a sixth officer was fired for his role in the incident, and three Memphis fire department employees were terminated due to violations of "numerous" protocols.
Police say they are still investigating multiple officers for their roles in the incident.
