Late-night television shake-ups continue with CBS's The Late Late Show calling it quits after nearly three decades.

The Late Late Show's 2023 season will be its last.

With host James Corden's exit, the network is looking to reboot @Midnight, a Comedy Central series that ran from 2013-2017, according to reports.

One reported reason for CBS's decision is that "hosted late-night talk shows are expensive to produce."
Corden announced nine months ago that he would be stepping away from The Late Late Show. He recently told Drew Barrymore that he made the decision for the sake of spending more time with his family.

"I've realized, best case scenario, we have six more summers where [my son] even remotely wants to be around us, and I cannot waste another one," Corden said. "If I really want to do this other work, that cannot be at the expense of our children, our family ... that is really all it comes down to."

Stephen Colbert will reportedly serve as @Midnight's new executive producer alongside Funny or Die, the company behind the Comedy Central original.
