Elon Musk has made a lot of changes to Twitter since his purchase and he is not shy about speaking his mind. This week he went to Twitter to point out the hypocrisy of the New York Times’ refusal to pay to keep their blue check.
In reading the comments to this tweet we saw a lot of people saying the New York Times would have to pay more than the standard and would be $1000 a month to get the verified check mark.
We are not defending the New York Times, but that is a big cost. However, they could get the regular blue check for eight dollars a month.
Musk was not going to let them take a win. He points out the hypocrisy of them being behind a paywall on their own site and putting Twitter down for implementing a similar practice.
He did not stop there! He calls them propaganda, and honestly, we think that is an accurate description.
Then it gets hilarious, Musk refers to the Twitter feed of the New York Times as diarrhea! The New York Times is slimy and they stink so we think it is a proper put-down. ????
Other Twitter users had fun playing along with Musk. This user pointed out all of the news organizations that may want to hate Musk but can not give up on Twitter.
Valid concern. We are going to give you a helping hand. If it says New York Times in the handle and is spouting Leftist talking points, there is a very high probability it is New York Times diarrhea and not anyone pretending to be them. ????
YES! Most legacy media, including the New York Times, have jumped the shark, lost all credibility, and have Twitter feeds full of diarrhea.
Never change Elon Musk. We love the fun you bring to Twitter, especially when it is a hit to a conglomerate of Leftists pretending to be journalists.
