First, Karine Jean-Pierre made the not-so-distant leap from MSNBC to the White House. Then, Jen Psaki, the woman she replaced as White House press secretary, made the not-so-distant leap to MSNBC.

That means that, according to our calculations, it’s once again time for someone at MSNBC to make the not-so-distant leap to the White House. And — lo and behold — what have we here?

Antony Blinken quite conspicuously left out any information about from whence Matthew Miller is coming to the State Department. How odd.

Nice.

Guess not!

The really cool thing about Matthew Miller is that he worked in President Barack Obama’s DOJ before going to MSNBC (he also served in the Biden administration as a special adviser to the NSC for a bit in 2022). So it’s like he’s coming home again.

Isn’t that nice? Should be a pretty seamless transition and an easy adjustment for Matt.
