The story so far, as this editor understands it, is that the Dodgers were set to honor the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at their Pride Night, rescinded the invitation, and then backed down and re-invited the drag queens who dress as nuns and ridicule the Catholic Church. The Dodgers also decided to bring back Christian Faith and Family Day as some sort of appeasement, but that didn’t go over well.
As we reported earlier, Dodger Clayton Kershaw said he disagreed with the invitation. “This is simply a group that was making fun of a religion, that I don’t agree with,” he said.
Now we have Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Bass apologizing for sharing a video supporting “anti-LGBT boycotts.” The video encouraged boycotts of Bud Light, Target, and “any other corporation that’s pushing the things they’re pushing.”
Never apologize to the mob, because it will never be enough:
Between this and his fight with the airlines over the mess his kids made, Bass isn’t making any friends anywhere.
