A child in Colorado Springs was kicked out of class for having the Gadsden flag on his bookbag.
The school claimed the patch had to do with the origins slavery:
This school official either didn’t know or didn’t care that they were wrong about the Gadsden flag. She was just there to enforce the policy, truth be damned.
The man show put the mother in touch with, Jeff Yocum, cited the EEOC which claimed the flag has been “sometimes interpreted to convey racially-tinged messages…”
Yokum also argued the flag was tied to hate groups or something:
So what rule was the kid actually breaking? This one, according to the screenshot provided. Connor Boyack says it’s unclear to him “what alleged slavery connections have to do with drugs, tobacco, alcohol, or weapons.”
The kid went to his local NBC News outlet to see if they would expose this but they declined the interview. Of course.
