NextImg:When the Abnormal Becomes Normal, Can a Society Survive?

Every society in human history has had its freaks, weirdos, perverts, criminally insane, noncompos mentis, i.e., a segment of society considered by the vast majority of that citizenry as “abnormal,” not fitting in with the average, accepted morality and norms of that culture.   It has happened everywhere.  Such human riffraff, rabble, and garbage simply cannot be totally obliterated from the earth.

But successful societies have recognized that, to be successful, this freakish, perverted element of society must not become too large or influential, or they will disrupt the whole fabric and moral foundation upon which that society is built and must operate, and that chaos, disharmony, and irredeemable discord will result if the rabble gets too strong.  A society simply cannot exist in licentious anarchy.  Recognized, agreed-upon standards must exist for a civilized society to function effectively.  For lack of a better word, we call it “normality.”

Thus, down through human history, prosperous nations and societies have been able to marginalize the freaks and perverts, keep them on the fringes, in cages, in closets, wherever necessary, so that their destructive degeneracy will not spread and take over as the normal basis of human transactions in that civilization.  You don't let “freakdom” become “normal.”  The Roman Praetorian Guard knew this and killed the perverted freaks Caligula and Nero before they could damage the whole Roman Empire too severely.  A certain amount of insanity is unavoidable, but an intelligent, healthy, moral society recognizes that loonies and perverts can disrupt societal norms. Thus, the morally healthy will marginalize these deviants to the outskirts of that society and let them play with each other so they can’t do the rest of the civilization much harm.  It has to be this way.  Personal destructive behavior must not become the norm.

But what happens to a society when the abnormal, which civilization has recognized for countless centuries as aberrant, degenerate, decadent behavior, becomes accepted as “normal?”  Can that society survive the acceptance of “abnormal” behavior as “normal”?

Democrats in Colorado have shut down any debate over their transgender bill that would make “misgendering” a “discriminatory act” with the threat to take children away from their parents who don’t “affirm” their child’s gender “choice.”  This has become “normal” in Democratic Party America.

The country must now confront a huge problem: “What is normal?” You and I still talk about “normal” behavior and “normal” people, but folks, 75 million people voted for Kamala Harris, voted against the traditional norms of morality and accepted behavior that united America for most of its history.  Seventy-five million Americans voted for what traditional Western Civilization would call freaks, perverts, and destructive decadence, voted to let children decide whether they are male or female, voted to allow men to be women just by saying they are, voted for “same-sex marriage,” pedophilia, MAPs—and who knows where this “normality” will end?  Is this the new “normality” in America?  Well, apparently, it is for half the American people.

Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party now represent everything abnormal, unscientific, freakish, decadent, degenerate, insane, godless, everything that is deviant —everything aberrant, that is, to traditional Americans.   And 75 million people voted for Harris.  How do you overcome that?  I don't mean to be pessimistic, but…how do you overcome that?  How do you stop it and turn it around?  I don't know.

Seventy-five million people voted for Kamala Harris. Voted for a party that believes in abnormality, freakdom, perversion, godlessness, decadence—this has become the normality for half the American people.  And so, we have half the American people who believe in “traditional normality,” and we have half the American people who now believe that “traditional abnormality” is their “normality.”  We let them out of their cages, folks.  We opened the closet doors in the name of “civil rights” and “freedom,” forgetting, or never understood that any “civil right” or “freedom” that undermines the agreed-upon standards that underlay and bonded that society together for generations can do nothing but fracture and create pandemonium.  What unites us anymore?  What IS an American?

Can a society survive that kind of division—with both halves calling the other half “weird”?  I don't know because history speaks of no society that has ever tried it.  Usually, the “normal” people have enough sense and backbone to isolate the freaks.  But Americans don’t have that sense, so look at the mess we’ve got now.

“The future and success of America is not in this Constitution, but in the laws of God upon which this Constitution is founded” (James Madison).  But who makes those decisions when God doesn't matter anymore in law and moral decisions?  Who decides what is “normal”?  In America now, every man and woman is making that decision for themselves—“every man does that which is right (normal) in his own eyes.”  That is human-based morality, and so far, we’ve found no place to unite in such a human-devised moral scheme that acknowledges no divine guidance as “normal.”  So, America now has an expanding number of freaks and perverts and every species of weirdos because we have divorced ourselves from any divine standard, any divine direction.  Any true, universal normality.

Can we survive that?

History indicates that a society cannot exist unless there is a specific standardized model of decent, self-controlled behavior that most people recognize as being a norm that everybody must follow and that if abnormality, if freakishness becomes too widespread if the perverts aren’t isolated and the people protected against them, then there's no longer any control, there's no longer any basis of agreed-upon civilized behavior. And chaos ensues.

America 2025?

Is there any way to turn this around?  If there is, I fully confess I do not know what it is, short of another Great Awakening, which doesn’t seem to be in the offing.
