In his latest interview with Laura Ingraham, Vice President JD Vance proved to his MAGA critics and the general public that Trump made the perfect choice for Vice President.
He summed up the failure of Kamala Harris in one powerful phrase:
“I listened to Kamala Harris for 90 seconds, and I actually feel like I’ve gotten dumber in the process.” (Cue “Billy Madison.”)
Vance then outlined what we all heard, and reflected reality with a simplicity which befits any Hillbilly turned Ivy-Leaguer: every time Kamala spoke, we heard division, evasion, and world salads. Vance has this cunning knack of telling it like it is, not talking over us, while sounding profound at the same time.
Kamala Harris is the anti-Vance. She never attained a higher office because she was smart, articulate, or a good leader. She slept her way to the top, talked a more left-wing game when she challenged the incumbent district attorney of San Francisco, and after serving as California Attorney General (a disastrous tenure to the Left as well as to the Right, all exposed by Tulsi Gabbard), she became a US Senator since no Republican made it into the general election.
She’s not a real winner, after all. She only got into the white house as a diversity hire by the Biden camp. The lady dropped out of the 2020 Democratic Primary before it even started! She putzed around the White House, while Joe Biden was guided around by guards and handlers. Then she got the nomination—and lost. She didn’t just lose, but lost all seven (up from six) swing states, and the popular vote, too! But she is still telling people how we have to fight for our “democracy.”
Still basking in her own limelight, Kamala is hocking her campaign memoir: 107 Days.
I have not read the book, and I have no intention of doing so. Who wants to read three hundred pages of word salad? The regressive Left and committed liberals will, since they cannot take defeat, and there remains a market for DEI liberals who insist on everything through the prism of intersectionality.
Not all the reviews have been bad.
Natasha Korecki and Jonathan Allen of NBC News offered their biased, narrow-minded take on the book, outlining nine key takeaways. Their lack of self-awareness is Kamalian. For example, they share that Kamala Harris received the nomination because Biden asked her if she was willing to take over for him, and she said she would only if he wanted to. They then refer to Kamala’s frustration that Biden didn’t drop out soon enough, didn’t endorse her soon enough, didn’t give her enough credit at the outset of the campaign. So, does Kamala respect Joe or not? The journalists can’t tell us.
Then came Kamala’s VP choice. She claims that she wanted to complete the intersectional hierarchy by nominating the first openly gay VP, Pete Buttigieg, but then she conceded to herself that such a nomination would be asking too much of the American people. So, the epitome of DEI was too timid to front-load her campaign with more identity politics, but she blames the American people?
Charlamagne tha God gave Harris's book glowing praise, but Charlamagne also wrote a book called Black Privilege. Racialism and skin color are his filter. One of his recent guests slammed him as “confidently dumb” for lambasting Trump—the same New York real estate mogul who just got re-elected, defeating Beloved Kamala, and is getting things done that the American people want.
“Confidently dumb” describes Kamala to a T, or a C and a D.
The caustic reviews of 107 Days are far more accurate, not just of the book, but of her political career. Stephen A. Smith, so far, is the only one with the guts to tell it all like it is.
Kamala Harris was handed the reins without a primary, and she lost.
In a recent NewsNation interview with Chris Cuomo, Smith slams her for revealing private conversations with other Democrats to get their support. What kind of political operative expects to get a second chance when she’s burning bridges with such selfish abandon?
Smith finds her lack of self-awareness and self-accountability frustrating. The woman had $2 billion toward her campaign, the entire Democratic Party apparatus behind her, and she even received the coveted endorsement of President Joe Biden, thus eliminating any serious competition at the outset. Smith’s most refreshing take on Harris’ failure goes back to her unwillingness to own the fact that her failure is her fault. Other Democratic operatives admit the same, but do so privately for fear of the wrath of the left-wing grassroots that is uprooting the Democratic Party’s diminishing chances and returns.
But there’s more to the story.
Smith and Cuomo started their candid conversation with “A Democrat should have won in 2024.” What planet are they living on? President Trump had considerable (media-hyped, legally dubious) baggage dragging him down, but four years of Joe Biden wreaked havoc on the country. His incompetence, incontinence, and incoherence were too much for the public. It’s not just that Kamala Harris is unaccountable and refuses to take into account what and how they lost. The entire Democratic party and the broad liberal subset of critics, content creators, and commentators refuse to recognize that abject, globalist, neo-liberalism is a complete bust.
Democrats have forgotten that President Bill Clinton was popular and successful because he moved to the right. He moderated his stance on abortion, defended marriage and family, and invested the United States in small international skirmishes. Aside from his failures on international terrorism, Clinton basically governed like a Trump Republican. As for Obama, he charged in hard left, seeking a fundamental transformation of the country. Democrats lost sixty-three seats in the House (the second-largest swing to the GOP in American history) and suffered disastrous Democratic losses down ballot across the country.
Democrats will never regain power until they take accountability for their failures. They need to recognize that their whole left-wing political project is a failure. Their appeal to marginalized groups at the expense of everyone else, their commitment to identity over merit, their insistence on ideology over biology, and their perverse doubling-down on lies, damned lies, and cooked statistics that all was well in Biden’s America won’t work anymore.
President Trump and the new MAGA Republican Party have captured working-class voters of all backgrounds, focusing on economic concerns while respecting cultural norms and religious traditions. Suburban voters are moving back to the GOP over crime and education, and blue states are losing to red states in the demographic battle.
Trump and Vance bring a down-home gentility to a Washington scene that had been talking down to American citizens for decades, expanding government while limiting their rights and freedoms. Democrats want to double down on the very things that Americans don’t want, and they think that a better communicator would have won the election.
No wonder Democrats are losing, and they deserve to keep losing as long as they keep ignoring the real concerns of Main Street while kissing up to Commie Street, Wall Street, and Gang Street. Kamala Harris was a bad candidate, but the party’s brand was bad, too.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
