Qatar is funding much of the trouble in the West. It’s time to deal with the most disingenuous Gulf states.
One of Donald Trump's unique and important attributes is that he can’t be bought. One might conclude that since Trump is rich, people simply can’t give him money so that he would advance their interests. Unfortunately, the mere presence of large amounts of cash does not guarantee honesty or being above a payoff. Look at Bill Gates, Bill Clinton and other hyper-wealthy men happy to frolic around Jeffrey Epstein’s island. The truth is that most people and organizations can be bought off if the price is right. Many of the super wealthy are boors, and some are outright morons. Bono, the lead vocalist for U2, recently claimed on Joe Rogan’s podcast that Elon Musk’s DOGE cuts have already led to the death of 300,000 people. Could he provide their names and addresses? He is worth over $700 million. Not once did he offer to help cover some of the waste cut by DOGE. No, he expects the US taxpayer to cover the world with greenbacks, while he works on his Irish tax dodges. As Prince said about Bono, “Do you know what I’d do if I had a voice like that? Become a janitor.”
Qatar is a filthy-rich oil producer. It can use its excess billions to buy influence and move its agenda. I was surprised a few years back when a very popular group of young guys who make mostly sports videos were showing the wonders of Qatar’s World Cup stadiums. I wondered why they had ventured from Texas to the Gulf but quickly realized that Qatar understood that they had millions of young followers. They only needed to write a big enough check to get them to come and give a glowing report on the country and its soccer preparations. There was no mention of slave labor or dead workers. No, everything was wonderful. And Qatar knows how to buy right-leaning influencers and university presidents. Just pump money, and you get the press and response as desired. Even little Israel has its own “Qatargate” as several people associated with Binyamin Netanyahu are accused of accepting Qatari cash in exchange for favorable treatment during Qatar’s pro-Hamas negotiations over the war in Gaza and the fate of the hostages.
Two areas where Qatar’s money has given bonanza returns are Hamas and Western Islam. Qatar for years has been the major funder and supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood terror group. They used to send literal suitcases of cash into Gaza to keep Hamas’ employees and terrorists paid. They continue to host the Hamas leadership in Doha, even after one became a wall decoration in an explosion in Tehran. In the West, Qatar has captured universities like Harvard that have entered into a Faustian bargain with the oil sheikhs: give us oodles of money and send your people to turn students and the faculty against Israel, Jews and the West. Qatar and Iran fund the major Islamist organizations and protests, and their focus is not just Israel: they have shown repeatedly that they hate the US and the countries of Europe and wish to destroy and conquer them in due time.

With Qatar’s nefarious influence in the world, I would suggest that the Mossad focus its efforts in destabilizing this international trouble-maker. I don’t think that there is any internal foe, like the Kurds act against Turkey. Still, Israel can invent some Qatar Resistance Group or just use sabotage and subterfuge to weaken the country. Hamas’ leaders should be assassinated, and apparently Israel has already made the decision to take them out. That they are in Doha should be irrelevant. They, the billionaires on stolen aid, are at the top of the pyramid and should be destroyed. Oil infrastructure should be damaged—not to the point of upsetting world oil prices, but just enough to make the Emir and his cadre understand that there is a price for their destructive policies. Israel has played footsie too long with this country, which officially does not recognize the Jewish state. The time has come to play hardball—damage their interests, make it clear that if they support anti-Israel groups near or far, Qatar’s leaders may not be around very long to enjoy their wealth. Iran was correctly treated as a pariah when Komeini came to power; Qatar, even with its big US airbase, must be put in the same class publicly and treated accordingly. Enough with them buying off US and Israeli officials. The time has come for this country to get what it deserves for stoking the hatred in the US that is leading to actual attacks and victims. With no money, people would not show up to the protests; Qatar is the source of the anti-Western protests and violence in the US and Europe. Israel should make an effort no less elaborate than the beeper program against Hezbollah and the one-ton AI-driven machine gun that killed Iran’s top nuclear scientist.
I know President Trump and many on the right are in love with Qatar; the latter are most likely paid off for their affection. President Trump sees a partner, where I see a driver for the destruction of American values. Qatar should get a little pep talk from Marco Rubio: stop all anti-Western and anti-Israel funding and activities, or lose the airbase and face destabilization. The biggest fear that Gulf potentates have is of revolution against their leadership. While I am unaware of any native anti-government movement, there will always be some Bedouin tribe that can be armed and instructed on how to mess up Qatar’s serene appearance. The Mossad knows how to do such things and should put it at the top of its agenda.
Islam as sold by the Muslim Brotherhood and its US operations is incompatible with Western values. Women in many Islamic cultures are no better than the animals out in the courtyard. Sharia will always supersede the local law. The time has come to cut the source of the anti-Western protests and the now-violent attacks. They won’t stop with Israel. They won’t stop with the Jews. They’re coming for the US, and unless action is taken to defund the haters and throw out as many as legally possible, Lady Liberty will be wearing a hijab.
As I wrote previously, in a course on modern Jewish history, the professor asked if we think “it” could happen here. He refused to say what “it” was, but obviously he meant the Holocaust. Every hand went up in 1986, in the US. Colorado Springs shows why, and the groups that sell the “free Palestine” trip are funded by Qatar.
