NextImg:Rewriting History in Real Time: Jake Tapper Book to Look Into Coverup of Joe Biden’s Mental Decline?!

In a jarring move that can only be described as brazen, the announcement came out today that Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, of Axios news, have teamed up to write a book in which they want to present a revisionist history on the 2024 presidential election. Essentially what we are talking about is two journalists trying to pretend they, and the rest of the media industry, were not involved in the cover-up of Joe Biden's mental slide that was evident to the general public. For them to even make this attempt borders on the hilarious, but the fact that this is actually going to publication is a remarkable sign of desperation on display.

The book is entitled “ORIGINAL SIN: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again”. Published by Penguin Press the book appears for now to focus on the former president’s bold insistence to run for a second term. "Biden's decision to run for reelection seem shockingly narcissistic, self-delusional, and reckless — a desperate bet that went bust — and part of a larger act of extended public deception that has few precedents."

Now we cannot say conclusively yet how much study these two journalists will have placed on the news industry and its culpability in the cover up. But it is undeniable that when it comes to the act of extended public deception the media are the primary guilty parties.

The year 2024 was a horrendous one for the media. You can pick and choose any number of flawed journalist and practices; the coverage of the Israeli Hamas war, the blind support and fraudulent history they presented of Kamala Harris, the slanted coverage of the Trump campaign, and then the entire repudiation of their industry that was the election result in November. Add to that all the business problems from a loss of subscriptions, a crash in ratings, as well as industry-wide layoffs, and things were bad from the start of the year to the end.

But easily the most damaging aspect of the entire year was the coverage of Joe Biden - or more specifically the lack of coverage. For the first 6 months of the year the press worked diligently to both hide Joe Biden's slipping mental condition as well as attacking anybody who dared present accurate portrayals of the president's cognition. Most of the press industry worked hand in hand with the White House to cover up Joe Biden's debilitation and did so in a collective teamwork fashion.

One needs to only see the way the Press reported that Joe Biden was “sharp” in uniform fashion to such a degree the term became a punchline. Oftentimes this was augmented with unverified reports that in private Joe Biden was remarkably attuned and energized, often claiming he was running circles around the White House staff. It led to us being presented with the most ridiculous tableau in the press industry; we had to believe that Joe Biden was a laser-focused dynamo of a thinker in private, absent any kind of proof, and we had to deny what we were seeing and hearing with our own senses regarding his blatant diminished mental faculties.

After six months of delivering this used car sales pitch all of it was blasted into confetti in the summer during the presidential debate between Biden and Donald Trump. At that point in time everything was laid out. All the claims that we had seen before - that Biden’s condition was misrepresented, was being lied about in the conservative media, and/or was a result of quote “cheap fake videos” -  were exposed for the lies that they were.

Joe Biden's campaign and his career came crashing down in early July and with it he took down the media with him.  This became a watershed moment in the history of American journalism, because from that point forward the public realized the major news outlets no longer had a stranglehold on the national narrative.

And as we now know, this led to the Donald Trump victory in November. Now with his new administration under way we are looking at a severe case of revisionism taking place. Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson coming out with this book is a desperate attempt to rewrite their position, not only in 2024 but also in the entirety of the Joe Biden term in the White House.

We were all witness to the subterfuge that took place in the press. It was blatant. It was obvious. And to any sane person it would be described as undeniable. Except the insanity seen in the press now has them actually making those efforts at denying the reality. Jake Tapper in particular cannot pretend that he was an objective observer in all of this. There are examples of him being presented with the topic of Joe Biden's condition and siding with the denials taking place from the Democrats, from his campaign, and from the media.

Jake certainly changed his position on Biden and asserted there was a problem following the debate; after all, he had a front row seat to Biden’s meltdown, given he was a co-moderator that night. But as Tapper came around to acknowledging the obvious he never confronted or challenged any Democrat politician who defended Biden and denied his problems. That is a glaring blind spot as a journalist.

Brian Stelter is another that's right alongside these two authors on this very topic. Here he is this morning helping promote this upcoming book release, and all but demanding that we forget he was an enthusiastic participant in this cover-up. Just take a look at Brian Stelter mere weeks before that disastrous debate, where he was trying to insist that there are two versions of Joe Biden – there's the vibrant, sharp, Joe Biden that people see firsthand and face to face, and then there's the Joe Biden that's “fraudulently” presented by conservatives and their “cheap fake” videos.

So is this publishing attempt desperate? It absolutely is. It is also hilarious. for these two journalists to even come forward and try to insist that we didn't witness all of this first hand. It's a clear case of them trying to tell us that we shouldn't believe our lying eyes and lying ears. Take their word for it; our sober senses are what were deceiving us, not the journalists.

The very same journalists proven to lie to us during the election, throughout 2024, 4 years of the Biden administration, as well as years of falsehoods delivered from their media environment will now set the record straight. I would sooner trust a positive product review on an item listed on Teemu.

The only thing that remains to be seen is where this Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson publication is going to be found in bookstores. Will it be sitting on the shelf in the FICTION section, or will they display it under COMEDY?
