Democrats, the party of self-proclaimed “democracy” and giving “everyone a fair shot,” have found their congressional delegation sitting at a paltry 19 percent approval rating with the American people – 72 percent disapproving of their ways in Washington, according to the latest Quinnipiac Poll.  Gone are the days of culture domination and Obama swagger, replaced by confusion, cringe, and complacency.

The Congressional Democrats and their leadership, instead of putting forth legislation to help the American people or make people’s lives better, keep obsessing over one issue: Abortion.

There’s no better evidence than the strangely whiney and braggadocious book tour of former Vice President Kamala Harris, who is still struggling for relevance at events around the country. Her feckless abortion extremism even had Sen. Bernie Sanders telling her to change her focus.

With cult-like devotion, Democrats keep returning to abortion and attempting to expand access. Instead of lowering grocery bills, supporting America in trade negotiations, or securing the homeland, Democrats are laser-focused on eliminating preborn Americans and blocking their God given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

After the mutiny of former President Joe Biden, Democrats, in hopes of winning reelection in 2024, firmly anchored their core pitch of  “democracy” and “fairness” in abortion. Their candidates up and down the ballot championed never-ending abortion access. Their messaging framed abortion and the ability to get one up to any point as a “fundamental right,” in an about-face from the Clintonian days of “safe, legal, and rare.”

In the Senate, Harris had schemed with Sen. Chuck Schumer to end the filibuster, to jam through an abortionist agenda in the twilight months of the 2024 election cycle. Before that, Democrats in the House introduced a resolution that would force United States Emergency Rooms (ERs) to commit abortions.

Abortion lovers in the media celebrated the obsession. The Atlantic swooned in a 2024 headline: "Kamala Harris’s Biggest Advantage, Abortion is a winning issue for Democrats, and the vice president is well positioned to use it."

Students for Life Action highlighted Harris's abortion extremism in a series of TV and digital spots during the campaign, noting the absolute support for infanticide at the top of the ticket as, by then, Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, had opposed protections for babies born alive during botched abortions. It was discovered that eight babies had been left to die after surviving abortions in Minnesota while Walz was governor and that he didn't act to save future children. In fact, he removed the reporting requirement of such deaths in his state.

But our Democrats for Infanticide campaign noted that ignoring lost lives doesn’t change the horrifying reality that babies do survive abortions.

In a fact check of media misinformation following one of the presidential debates during the campaign, we noted: “Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, however, shows that thousands of abortions are committed after 21 weeks’ gestation. The CDC’s findings do not include reporting from at least four abortion-friendly states (California, Maryland, New Hampshire, and New Jersey), which suggests the number of late-term abortions in the U.S. is likely much higher.”

The Democrats would go on to lose the presidency and the U.S. Senate, while Republicans held on to the U.S. House of Representatives. President Donald Trump made gains in battleground states and historic gains among every county and every demographic in the country. But the warning signs were there, and the Pro-Life Generation (PLG) caught them early – specifically on the left's gamble on abortion rights.

Here are some trends spotted by the PLG, among the youth vote, which made up one third of the electorate:

- 37 percent supported heartbeat laws or better protections for preborn children.

- Only 9 percent supported the Democratic Party’s radical agenda of abortion through all nine months without limits, up to and including allowing infanticide — the death of a baby born during a botched abortion.

- More than six in 10 (65 percent) of the Youth Vote support limits on abortion, in all or some circumstances.

- Only 14 percent knew that all states protect women’s lives in the law, with 35 percent believing most protected mothers, while 49 percent believed only some or a few protected pregnant mothers.

- More than three in 10 said they would be more willing to accept limits on abortion if there were more services.

- Half of respondents said abortion should be restricted to either in the first trimester or at four months (15 weeks).

But their waning support among Americans on this chief issue did not matter to them; they remained in denial.  Before Trump could even get sworn in, Democrats were at it again – voting firmly against the GOP’s “Born Alive” Bill, which only garnered the support of one Democrat in the House. Democratic senators would ruefully block it in the Senate.

They just don’t get it. Exterminating people, especially future voters and citizens (as a recent judge’s ruling on immigration has proven that the preborn are citizens, like our 14th Amendment confirms), is the opposite of being democratic.

The American people want a shot at the American dream and for the government to be efficient enough to assist at times in that shot – not to justify killing preborn babies as a fundamental right. No wonder congressional Democrats sit at 19 percent. They are lucky to get even that much.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
