Far-left Democratic U.S. Senator Adam Schiff of California is more than just a mail, bank, and mortgage fraud suspect.

Newly-declassified FBI 302 reports, first published by Just the News, show that in 2017, then-Representative Schiff approved leaking classified information to harm the incoming Trump administration. The reports are based on interviews with a Democratic staffer of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, on which Schiff served as ranking minority member.

Schiff, famously, was a key player in the Russia Collusion Hoax conceived by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, aided and abetted by the Obama administration. Schiff also helped lead the ridiculous effort to declare the notorious Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation.

FBI Director Kash Patel, Just the News reported, has given the FBI 302s to Congress. They state that a career intelligence officer who worked for the intelligence committee considered leaking the classified information “to be ‘unethical,’ ‘illegal,’ and ‘treasonous,’ but was told not to worry about it because Schiff believed he would be spared prosecution under the Constitution’s speech and debate clause.”

During an interview with the FBI on June 5, 2023, the whistleblower revealed that he attended the meeting at which Schiff OK’d the leaks.

“When working in this capacity, [redacted staffer’s name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF,” the reports say:

In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.

Doing so would be illegal, the staffer said, yet “upon hearing his concerns, unnamed members of the meeting reassured that they would not be caught leaking classified information,” the reports said.

The staffer was so concerned he contacted people at his former employer. They told him to contact the FBI.

Frighteningly enough, “the staffer made similar claims to agents in the FBI’s Washington field office as early as 2017, shortly after Trump took office for his first term,” Just the News reported.

During a meeting then, the whistleblower told the FBI, “retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn — Trump’s first national security adviser — was to be a specific focus of the committee as part of a broader effort to target Trump. The whistleblower also specifically pointed to Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., as a likely source of classified leaks, the memos state.”

“The whistleblower was interviewed twice in 2017 and at least four times over six years about the alleged Schiff leaks, but Justice Department prosecutors declined to move forward, according to the memos,” the website reported.

One reason Schiff wanted to torpedo Trump, apparently, was personal. The obsessed congressman — who sought nude photos of Trump from Russian pranksters — thought he would become CIA chief under Hillary Clinton.

“Following the US presidential election in November 2016, the mood within HPSCI was indescribable,” the whistleblower told the FBI during a meeting at Bullfeathers, a bar and restaurant on Capitol Hill:

Ranking member Schiff was particularly upset, as he believed he would have been appointed as the director of the CIA had candidate Hillary Clinton won the election. The HPSCI minority viewed the election and its aftermath as a constitutional crisis, and, by February 2017, [the whistleblower] stated, all hell broke loose. During a meeting on 13 February 2017, [redacted] instructed the staff that he wanted to drive the “Russian involvement” issue in a joint inquiry, similar to the 9/11 commission.

The 302s reveal that Schiff was a man overboard, deranged by crazy conspiracy theory:

Schiff believed Russia hijacked the election, and the United States was in the middle of a constitutional crisis. Classified information began leaking to the media. The Democratic minority leadership of HPSCI was aware of the leaks but was under the impression that leaking the information was one way to topple the administration and fix the constitutional crisis.

In December 2017, the notes show, the whistleblower finally confronted Schiff about a “particular leak,” this one involving Swalwell, he of the notorious affair with Chinese spy Christine Fang, also known as Fang Fang.

The whistleblower told the FBI that “a particularly sensitive document” was “viewed by a small contingent of staff, as well as SCHIFF and Representative ERIC SWALWELL.” Lo and behold, “within 24 hours, the information appeared in the news almost verbatim.”

The whistleblower “suspected that SWALWELL played a role in the leak and noted that SWALWELL previously had been warned to be careful because he had a reputation for leaking classified information.”

The staffer told a GOP colleague that he was fired because Schiff’s committee button men thought he was disloyal to the Democratic Party.

Just the News noted Schiff’s many baseless claims of Russia Collusion, and that he is “mentioned by name three times in the 2023 Durham report, including that a university researcher who refused to investigate Trump-Russia allegations felt threatened by a Schiff staffer.”

The website also noted that the House of Representatives censured Schiff for pushing the collusion lie and because he “perpetuated false allegations from the Steele Dossier accusing numerous Trump associates of colluding with Russia into the Congressional Record.”

The Steele Dossier, paid for by the Clinton campaign, was a major component of the hoax.

“President Joe Biden pardoned Schiff on his last full day in office in January this year, but only in reference to Schiff’s role on the select committee which investigated the Capitol riot,” Just the News observed. “Schiff claimed that he wished Biden had not pardoned him.”

The Justice Department didn’t prosecute Schiff because the speech and debate clause of the Constitution supposedly provided legal cover for his violating the Espionage Act. Unhappily, the statute of limitations has likely expired on Schiff’s dirty deeds, which are covered by 18 U.S. Code 798, disclosure of classified information. The statute of limitations is five years on most federal crimes.

In August 2017, after Schiff OK’d leaks from his committee, he fretted about classified leaks from the Trump administration:

Multiple times, @POTUS has appeared to leak sensitive information. Declassification is one thing; incompetence is another. This must stop.

As with most far-left Democrats, self-awareness is not among Schiff’s virtues.
