With his interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tucker Carlson became the most important journalist on the planet. And also the most hated.
Leftists and the Deep State Uniparty are hysterical, and say Carlson is a “traitor” and “Putin supporter” and propagandist for a “KGB colonel.”
No matter. Carlson asked good questions about myriad issues, and Putin’s answers mirror what most America First conservatives think on a lot of them.
We Don’t Want War
Asked what he would tell Americans, Putin said that “Russia is not your enemy”:
We don’t want war. We’re ready for peace. Your leaders seek conflict. This is not what we want. Russia stands for its own people. We do not want what is not ours.
And like any American who can see, including Democrats, Putin doesn’t believe President Joe Biden is running the country. He stopped short of saying Biden is suffering dementia, but did say he knows that Biden is a puppet for behind-the-scenes marionettists.
“Let’s say we have good sources that confirm that but it’s plain for anyone to see for themselves,” Putin said. “The US has now entered into a dark period. It has unaccountable leadership.”
Asked whether Biden won the 2020 election fairly, Putin demurred, but did say the southwest border ran more smoothly than the election.
Putin also observed that he had no troubles with Donald Trump. “We had good relations,” he said, and “there was no war. Our relations were at a high point.”
Despite what the Biden administration and Mainstream Media Information Ministry say, Russia does not view the United States as an enemy, Putin said.
“No. Categorically no,” Putin said:
We were allies in WWII. Russians helped settle Alaska, California and we were in Hawaii too. Our people are not enemies but those in DC are certainly not our friends.
But even then, Putin said, Biden is not the problem for Russia. The problem is the Deep State Uniparty puppet masters who control Biden.
“Joe Biden may not even be aware of what’s going on,” Putin said. “He may not understand the level of sanctions thrown at Russia. Who put those sanctions together? Those are our adversaries.”
Putin said that the “forces which have run” the United States still run it. “You may change presidents but you do not change those in real power. That is who we have to deal with. Joe Biden is just a facade for this power structure.”
If President Trump wins in November, Putin said, he could help end the war in Ukraine quickly because “he has great respect for Russia” and “we could start from a position of friendship and trust.”
Putin said that he has “no dialogue with President Biden”:
That’s right. No one has called since we congratulated Mr. Biden on his election victory. It’s puzzling to us that communications are colder now than during the cold war.
And although Russia and China are close allies, Putin said, they don’t intend to unite for economic or military war against the United States because both sides would lose.
Speaking on the war in Gaza, Putin said that the “Palestinians are being devastated” and “Israel is acting in an unconstrained manner,” and wondered why Israel is not suffering economic sanctions.
Putin said that “Russians find it ironically amusing your Congress will spend billions protecting foreign borders but neglect its own. It’s quite laughable but deadly”:
People are dying daily crossing your border in an uncontrolled way. It is a free-for-all. The world hasn’t seen anything like it in the modern era — reckless for a country to throw itself wide open like that.
Putin also poo-pooed “climate change.” Earth regulates itself well, he said, and “if Siberia gets a little warmer all the better. More farmland for Russia.”
As for what Carlson called the “true believers” in “climate change,” Putin would “tell them worrying about climate change is like complaining about the weather. If you don’t like the climate, move. If you are worried about the weather, get an umbrella.
Turning to sports and athletics, Putin said the Super Bowl will not be shown in Russia, which will mean he won’t have the pleasure of seeing slattern Taylor Swift perform.
“We have been given a reprieve,” he said.
Hysteria Ensues
Leftists unbosomed the customary insults.
“Putin is trying to court the MAGA GOP in the United States,” CNN’s Erin Burnett said:
In fact, one of the leaders of the MAGA GOP is in Moscow tonight. It’s the man you see here with the MAGA leader, Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, possibly there in Moscow to interview Putin, definitely there as a Putin supporting celebrity.
Burnett accused Carlson of supporting Russian atrocities in Ukraine.
“When I first heard he was there, I assumed he was there to get an award,” former Clinton legman David Axelrod said. “There isn’t an American who has done more for Vladimir Putin than Tucker Carlson.”
GOP turncoat Adam Kinziger polled followers with his question: “Is Tucker Carlson on Putin’s payroll?” The lowing herd answered the way he wanted.
Former Trump aide Sebastian Gorka claimed that Carlson was doing “PR for a KGB colonel” and was a Russian “agent.”
Leftist Bill Kristol, who abandoned the GOP when it became Trump’s party because Trump promised to stop neoconservative wars abroad, went further. Carlson, he said, should not be permitted to re-enter in the country:
Perhaps we need a total and complete shutdown of Tucker Carlson re-entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.
