Eighteen-year-old Bronny James, the son of L.A. Lakers star LeBron James, was hospitalized on Monday after going into cardiac arrest during basketball practice at the University of Southern California. The incident has triggered renewed talk about Covid injections, which had earlier been mandated at USC. Data from the New England Journal of Medicine indicate that, up until recently, sudden cardiac arrests were extremely rare among athletes.

In other stories, the International Monetary Fund has silenced Nobel laureate Dr. John Clauser because he doesn’t believe there’s a climate crisis; and the shaky truce between Russia and Ukraine that allowed Ukraine to continue shipping grain abroad has been shattered, jeopardizing food security for many around the world.
