The illegal-alien murderer of Harford County, Maryland’s Rachel Morin will spend life in prison.
Caught and released at the southwest border during the Biden administration, Salvadoran Victor Martinez-Hernandez murdered Morin in August 2023. He was particularly brutal to the 37-year-old mother of five, raping her and smashing in her skull with a rock.
Sadly, Morin wasn’t the first Harford County woman murdered by a Biden “migrant.” So also was 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton. Other Biden “migrant” victims were Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray.
On April 14, a jury deliberated less than an hour in finding Martinez-Hernandez, who had fled a murder charge in El Salvador, guilty of first degree rape and murder.
Forensic pathologist Dr. Zabiullah Ali described the savage attack as one that “stands out from the standpoint of the number of injuries,” the Baltimore Sun reported of his testimony.
Martinez-Hernandez strangled and beat Morin to death. “The largest injury on Morin’s body was a 6-inch by 6-inch laceration to the back of her head,” the Sun reported:
[Ali] speculated that the laceration — a tear in the skin caused by blunt-force trauma — was caused by two to three impacts.
Ali said Morin had 15-20 lacerations covering almost every part of her head — many deep enough to show her skull. The lacerations on Morin’s head were “jagged” and “not clean” with scrapes surrounding them, Ali testified.
“That indicates to me that something with a rough surface was used,” Ali said.
That something was likely a rock or the cement pavement of the tunnel in which Morin was found on the county’s Ma & Pa Heritage Trail in Bel Air. Morin lay dead in the tunnel, the Sun reported, for between eight and 12 hours. Ali testified:
The front and back of Morin’s hands were also bruised and swollen, which Ali said indicates that she had tried to fight off the attacker. “When you see injuries to the back of the hands or palms, they are considered defensive injuries,” Ali said.
A detective who worked the scene said Morin lost so much blood that he “went through many gloves that day.”
Then, after he murdered Morin, Martinez-Hernandez fled to Oklahoma. Cops in Tulsa arrested him there nearly a year later. He had also been linked to crimes in Los Angeles, California.
“DNA evidence from the scene along the Ma and Pa Heritage Trail matched the DNA collected from a home burglarized earlier in Los Angeles — on March 26 — when a young girl and her mother were assaulted, officials said,” The Washington Post reported when Martinez-Hernandez was arrested:
A doorbell-camera video released by officials showed a shirtless man exiting a Los Angeles home where the assault allegedly took place. And when the DNA evidence from Maryland was entered in the FBI’s Combined DNA Index System, it matched that of the burglary and assault suspect in Los Angeles, officials said.
To their credit, the family members cooperated with cops.
On August 11, Martinez-Hernandez was sentenced to life in prison.
Martinez-Hernandez jumped the border in 2023. After he was sentenced, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) added a not-unusual fact. He “was released in the country in 2023 under the Biden administration.”
“We hear far too much in the mainstream media about sob stories of gang members and criminal illegals and not enough about their victims,” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem said.
Morin, again, was the second woman murdered in Harford County thanks to the Biden administration. Walter Martinez pleaded guilty to the murder of Harford County’s Kayla Hamilton last year.
Martinez entered the country as an “unaccompanied alien child” in March 2022, in the Rio Grande Valley Border Sector. The Biden administration released him to live with his sponsor, supposedly a first cousin.
The Salvadoran thug garroted Hamilton with a phone cord the following July. Cops in Aberdeen, Maryland, had surveillance video showing that Martinez was the murderer. They arrested the then-17-year-old illegal alien in January 2023.
Frighteningly, Maryland authorities permitted Martinez to enroll in and attend high school after being placed in foster care while awaiting arrest.
A third Biden “migrant” victim was nursing student Laken Riley. Venezuelan illegal Jose Ibarra, caught and released at the southwest border in 2022, raped and murdered Riley in February 2024 in Athens, Georgia. Sentenced to life in prison, Ibarra now claims he was mentally unfit to stand trial.
A fourth such victim was Jocelyn Nungaray, 12, of Houston, Texas. Two Venezuelan illegals murdered Nungaray in June last year, prosecutors allege. They had been caught and released at the border just months before the crime.
In January, President Trump signed the Laken Riley Act, which requires DHS to arrest, detain, and deport illegal-alien criminals. The bill also permits the states to sue the federal government if it fails to do so.
The U.S. House passed the bill two days after Trump took office by a 263-156 vote. All the nays were Democrats. The Senate passed the bill 64-35 on Inauguration Day. The nays were Democrats and two Independents.
