The FBI probe into the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk continues and includes looking at people in the crowd and their hand gestures as possible signals to the shooter.
The Turning Point USA founder was murdered on September 10 at Utah Valley University (UVU) during a speaking event. Within a day, authorities arrested Tyler Robinson, who confessed to murdering Kirk because the 31-year-old supposedly spread “hate.”
Since then, the FBI has been investigating leftist groups that might have been involved. One target is a militant “transgender” outfit in Salt Lake City, Utah, whose “trans women” members not only enjoy getting dolled up with curlers and lipstick but also playing with guns and bullets.
FBI chief Kash Patel said the agency is “meticulously investigating theories and questions.”
In Arizona yesterday, at a packed memorial service, widow Erika Kirk forgave her husband’s murderer.
Robinson has twice confessed to murdering Kirk on the campus. At one point, he told a group chat on the Discord messaging system that he murdered Kirk. And he also admitted the crime to his roommate, Lance Twiggs, in text messages.
“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,” he wrote on Discord. “It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this.”
He murdered Kirk because he had “had enough of his hatred,” he told Twiggs. Twiggs is a “transgender” who is “transitioning” to become a “woman.”
Yet even if Robinson did, as he says, murder Kirk, accomplices might be at large. Patel wrote on X:
We are examining every facet of this assassination … including the location from where the shot was taken, the possibility of accomplices, the text message confession and related conversations, Discord chats, the angle of the shot and bullet impact, how the weapon was transported, hand gestures observed as potential ‘signals’ near Charlie at the time of his assassination, and visitors to the alleged shooter’s residence in the hours and days leading up to September 10, 2025.
Videos of the crowd appear to show some attendees gesturing strangely.
“Some details are known today, while others are still being pursued to ensure every possibility is considered,” Patel continued:
Our primary focus is to complete this investigation and deliver justice. To protect the integrity of the investigation and subsequent prosecution, we cannot release every piece of information we have to the public right now. We will ensure every question is addressed at the appropriate moment.
Regarding specific details, such as questions about the plane that allegedly turned off its transponder after departing from an airport near the assassination site, we can share updates when answers are confirmed. After interviews with the pilot and consultation with the FAA, we determined the transponder was not turned off. Incomplete flight data in rural areas caused the apparent gap.
Video of that take-off circulated on X at the time, fueling the false idea that whoever was on the aircraft could have been involved in the murder.
As The New American reported last week, Patel told GOP Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri during a Judiciary Committee hearing that the bureau is looking at dozens of people who might be involved in the crime or accessories afterward. “We are going to be investigating anyone and everyone involved in that Discord chat,” Patel said.
Of the many Discord users linked to Robinson, Patel said the FBI is “running them all down.” He told Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana:
A number of individuals … are currently being investigated and interrogated — and a number [are] yet to be investigated and interrogated related to that chatroom.
“So others could have been involved?” Kennedy asked.
Patel: “Yes, sir.”
One group of pressing interest is Armed Queers SLC, the founder of which is a pro-communist “transgender” Iranian.
That individual is Ermiya Fanaeian, the New York Post reported, whose Instagram pines for “Revolution + Trans liberation in our lifetime!”
The group once advertised a speaking event with a flyer that featured “a young woman clad in two ammo belts and clutching an AK-47, with her finger on the trigger,” the Post reported. The newspaper continued:
Fanaeian also helped launch a student study group for the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), with a curriculum that includes names like Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin.
Fanaeian’s inspiration to form the group came from “historical communist and socialist revolutionaries of the mid 1900s” including Fidel Castro and the Black Panther Party, according to the university’s student newspaper, the Daily Utah Chronicle.
While Fanaeian is confused about his sex, far-left Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts wasn’t confused about who she wanted on her side during her failed 2020 campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.
A photo of Warren and Fanaeian shows the senator — who famously but falsely claimed she was part Cherokee — with her arms around the “trans woman.” In front of the happy couple is a sign that importunes Warren backers to “persist, persist, persist.”
As for Kirk, yesterday more than 70,000 supporters attended his memorial service at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Some 20,000 watched the service elsewhere.
“My husband Charlie, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life,” widow Erika Kirk said.
“On the Cross, our Savior said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.’ That man, that young man, I forgive him,” she said through tears:
I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and is what Charlie would do.
