The suspect in yesterday’s terrorist attack against pro-Israel protesters in Boulder, Colorado, is an Egyptian illegal alien who entered the country during the Biden administration.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesman Tricia McLaughlin confirmed Fox News’ Bill Melugin’s report last night about Mohammed Sabry Soliman.

The federal criminal complaint says the Egyptian confessed that he hurled Molotov cocktails at the protesters. His mission: Kill “Zionists.”

Soliman began his rampage at 2 p.m., the criminal complaint alleges. The target: Protesters with “Run for Their Lives,” which stages street marches to bring attention to the Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

The outfit marches in the sanctuary city every Sunday, and met on June 1 at 1 p.m., the complaint says. An hour later, Soliman struck.

He “threw two lit Molotov cocktails” at protesters. He “yelled ‘Free Palestine!’ and the Molotov cocktails ignited in the crowd of people, causing burn injuries to eight individuals,” the complaint alleges.

Cops found “a black plastic container with a yellow top … near where Soliman was arrested.” Inside, the complaint says, were “at least fourteen unlit Molotov cocktails, comprised of glass wine carafe bottles or Ball jars containing clear liquid and red rags hanging out of the bottles.”

Cops also found a backpack weed sprayer “containing a flammable substance” near the black plastic container. A field test showed that the “flammable substance” was 87-octane gasoline.

Inside Soliman’s car, the complaint continues, was “red material consistent with the rags found in the black plastic container; a red gas container; and paperwork with the words, ‘Israel,’ ‘Palestine,’ and ‘USAID.’”

Soliman confessed after he received his Miranda warning, the complaint alleges:

During the interview, Soliman stated that he researched on YouTube how to make Molotov Cocktails, purchased the ingredients to do so, and constructed them. He traveled to Boulder, Colorado in his vehicle with the Molotov cocktails and threw two of the cocktails at individuals participating in a pro-Israel gathering. He also stated that he picked up gas at a gas station on the way to Boulder. He stated that he wanted to kill all Zionist people and wished they were all dead. Soliman stated he would do it (conduct an attack) again. He specifically targeted the “Zionist Group” that had gathered in Boulder having learned about the group from an online search.

Soliman arrived at the scene at 1 p.m. He told interrogators, the complaint says, that

he hated the Zionist group and did this because he hated this group and needed to stop them from taking over ‘our land,’ which he explained to be Palestine.

He had been planning the attack for a year, the complaint says, but waited to launch it until his daughter graduated from high school. ABC News reported that she graduated last Thursday.

Video on X shows a shirtless Soliman “pacing back and forth while holding what appear to be Molotov cocktails, glass bottles containing clear liquid with a red rag hanging from the top of the bottle,” the complaint alleges:

He is captured on the video stating “how many children killed” then a few moments later “end Zionist.”’

He is charged with committing a federal hate crime.

A distraught witness told MSNBC what happened to one victim:

His leg from ankle or foot all the way up to his buttocks was melted. His skin was basically melted off.

If Soliman had been deported as should have, he wouldn’t have been here to burn off a man’s leg.

Reported Melugin:

Three senior DHS sources tell @FoxNews that the Boulder terror suspect is an Egyptian national in the U.S. illegally as a visa overstay who entered the U.S. during the Biden administration. I’m told [Mohammed] Sabry Soliman arrived at LAX on 8/27/22 on a B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa with an authorized stay through 2/26/23, but he overstayed & never left.

I’m told on 9/29/22, he filed some sort of claim with USCIS [U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services], potentially an asylum claim, and on 3/29/23, USCIS under the Biden admin gave him work authorization, which expired on 3/28/25.

“He entered the country in August 2022 on a B2 visa that expired [in] February 2023,” DHS’s McLaughlin wrote on X. “He filed for asylum in September 2022.”

A B-1 visa is for business visitors; B-2s are for tourists.

So Soliman simply never left. What the rest of his family is doing here — a wife and five children, the criminal complaint says — is unclear.

This isn’t the first, and likely won’t be the last such attack. In 2015, a green-card recipient was one of two Pakistanis who murdered 14 and injured 22 in San Bernardino, California.

Just after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Center for Immigration Studies identified 48 foreign-born terrorists who landed here under various visas or were immigrants:

At the time they committed their crimes, 16, or one-third, of the 48 terrorists … were on temporary visas (primarily tourist visas), another 17 were Lawful Permanent Residents or naturalized U.S. citizens, 12, or one-fourth, were illegal aliens, and three of the 48 had applications for asylum pending.

Two other terrorist attacks, the mass shooting at the homosexual Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, in 2016, and the mass shooting at Ford Hood in Texas in 2009, were committed by the children of Afghan and Palestinian immigrants, respectively.
