Rocket warning sirens sound in Ashkelon, Gaza border towns

Rocket warning alerts are activated in numerous communities throughout southern Israel, including the coastal city of Ashkelon, Sderot and other towns near the border with the Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces are carrying out extensive air and artillery strikes throughout the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian media reports.

Among the areas being targeted are the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, the pro-Hamas Shehab news outlet says.
