Donald Trump will meet with Vladimir Putin “one-on-one” today to discuss the war in Ukraine.

The highly-anticipated summit, which Ukraine has been shut out of, will be attended only by the two leaders and their interpreters.

What time is Trump meeting Putin?

The talks are scheduled to start at 11.30am local time (8.30pm BST) and will be followed by a press conference.

“This will be followed by negotiations between the delegations, which will continue over a working breakfast,” Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said.

Putin and Mr Trump will then hold a press conference, during which they will “summarise the results of the negotiations,” Mr Ushakov added.

Where in Alaska is the summit?

The leaders will come face-to-face at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

Mr Trump has visited the military base a number of times since he first took office in 2017.

With Alaska’s closest point to Russia being just three miles across the Bering Strait, the location appears to be a win for both leaders.
