The final moments of Yahya Sinwar before he was blown up by Israeli forces have been revealed in a new video.

Captured by an IDF drone, the footage appears to show the former Hamas leader, clearly wounded, in a building before a tank shell explodes and reduces the property to rubble.

“Killing Sinwar is the result of a year of operational and intelligence efforts to bring him and other Hamas leaders to justice. Sinwar has been eliminated, but our mission is not over,” said Rear-Adml Daniel Hagari, an IDF spokesperson.

Sinwar was viewed as the architect of the Oct 7 attack last year when Hamas fighters burst through the security fence enclosing Gaza, killing around 1,200 people and taking some 250 hostages.

He was killed on the outskirts of Rafah in Gaza last week when cornered after a gun battle with IDF troops.
