The US navy has launched a second military strike on a suspected Venezuelan drug boat, killing three people.

Donald Trump announced the move on his Truth Social channel, writing: “On my orders, US military forces conducted a second kinetic strike against positively identified, extraordinarily violent drug trafficking cartels and narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility.

“The strike occurred while these confirmed narcoterrorists from Venezuela were in international waters transporting illegal narcotics.”

Accompanying the post was video of the vessel being blown up.
