A Russian infantry fighting vehicle exploded on the front lines after it was hit by a Ukrainian drone strike.

Footage of the incident posted on social media shows a Russian armoured vehicle on fire before a large explosion blows it to pieces.

The Ukrainian 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade posted on Telegram: “The video shows another failed assault attempt by the Russian invaders.” 

The brigade that carried out the strike is currently fighting on the Ukrainian front lines near Avdiivka.

Russian forces recently marginally advanced north west and west of Avdiivka amid continued positional fighting in the area, the Institute for the Study of War reported.
