A French billionaire has taken up an online critic’s challenge to a fight by posting a video of himself outside a Lidl supermarket captioned: “I’m waiting”.
Xavier Niel, the owner of Free telecoms group and one of the country’s richest men, filmed himself shouting “I’m here! I’m waiting for you! Where are you, come on! Do you want to meet in the car park?” in the video shared to social media on Friday.
The self-made tycoon, who has a net worth of £8 billion, was responding to a post on X, formerly Twitter, summoning him for a “one-against-one” dust-up.
